Today I've been in Macclesfield for a boat test. The weather didn't really play ball: it was dull and showery, although just outside the town the sun seemed to be shining. This is Macclesfield Marina and Hovis Mill.

My turn to comment on your blog! I had an idea whilst reading your excellent review in this month's CB; as so often, I reacted to it by thinking "Hm, very nice, but I wonder how so-and-so will work out?"
Going back to the owners say 12 months later and asking them to comment on whether (for example) two rings *was* enough on the cooker would make a really interesting follow up article.

It's funny you should say that, because while doing the test yesterday we were talking about how owners don't really know what works until after they've been using the boat for a while. The photographer, David, was telling me about a man who insisted he didn't need a dining area, but when he bumped into him a a few months later admitted that he was having a dinette fitted. It might well be worth going back to a few people to see how things are working out -- although it's really only interesting if they got it wrong originally!
And who'd be brave enough to admit that they'd got it wrong!

There's changes we'd make to Sanity if we were building her now. No major stuff (unless we went full length:-}) but worth while passing such thoughts on to folks beyond the small select band that read the blog.

Bruce, you can't leave us wondering like that! You need to tell us what you'd do differently!
Humm... since Sanity was never the subject of a full review (sob), I can't claim that I'm waiting to be invited to contribute to a post review piece.
On the other hand, I don't think a comment on someone else's blog is the right place: tell you what, I'll do a special blog post on it myself. There won't be much to write about whilst Sheila's away, of course, so it will fill some space ;-}

That's a good idea. While you're at it, you could fill in some of the background too! As your blog started when you'd already been on board a couple of years, it would be interesting to hear about your boating history, and how you made choices such as Braidbar as builder etc. Only if you want to, of course...
