You've solved one mystery anyway - so that strange looking bird is a species of duck? I've seen them before on the cut and have never found them in my bird books....; 15 January 2010 at 18:06

Halfie said...: I think it's a muscovy duck. There are several living next door to us - every day they troop into our garden.
